My time at English Gurukul, an EdTech startup by Orit Sciences, has made me understand the challenges faced at a budding startup, the efficiency necessary to work with limited resources and the importance of writing clean and reliable code as it was pushed to prod every other week leaving no room for mistakes. My primary role was to develop educational games for its mobile application in Unity. The GDDs were discussed and finalized with the design and content team before the start of development. The games were developed in iterative cycles by taking feedback from the technical lead and providing my views and suggestions at the end of each iteration, and incorporating them in the next cycle. All this progress was kept track of through tickets in Trello. The games had to be setup for Unity addressables as well to meet the size restrictions of the mobile app. Along with these games, I was also responsible for developing new features into the mobile app. I successfully completed two fully developed games along with multiple features in the app during my 4 months at the company.
