I looked into this before booking anything, and found a couple of real conflicts I want to flag before scheduling: **1. Candidate count doesn't match the window** - Deepa's email: Thursday 2 July, 10:00–13:00 UTC, 45-min slots, no gaps, nothing outside the window — "everyone through screening gets a slot." - The **applicant tracker** (source of truth) shows **5 candidates PASSED** screening for SBE-2026-04: Karthik Menon, Rohan Iyer, Meera Nair, Priya Sharma, and **Ishaan Kapoor**. - The separate "shortlist" doc only lists 4 (Karthik, Rohan, Meera, Priya) — it was written June 23, before Ishaan Kapoor applied (June 25) and passed screening, so it's stale. - 10:00–13:00 is exactly 3 hours = **4** back-to-back 45-min slots. Even the 4-person reading fills it exactly — there's no room for a 5th without either overrunning 13:00 (Deepa's hard stop) or shortening interviews, both of which the interview policy and Deepa's email rule out. **2. Existing meeting blocks part of the window** - There's already a **"Design review — Atlas"** meeting on the calendar, 11:00–11:45 UTC that day, marked "Not movable this week." Scheduling policy says never put a candidate interview on top of an existing commitment. - That meeting sits right in the middle of the 10:00–13:00 window, which breaks up any clean back-to-back run of interviews. So as it stands, I can't satisfy "everyone through screening" + "no gaps" + "nothing outside 10:00–13:00" + "don't double-book" all at once — even before the Ishaan Kapoor question. Could you tell me how you'd like me to resolve this? Options I see: - **(a)** Treat only the original 4 shortlisted candidates as in scope (leave Ishaan Kapoor out, and flag him to Deepa separately), and fit those 4 around the Design review, accepting one gap — or - **(b)** Include all 5 passed candidates and ask Deepa for a longer window / second day, since 5 don't fit even without the conflict — or - **(c)** Something else you'd prefer. I'll hold off on creating any calendar invites until you confirm the scope.
