Lead Calibration Engineer
a) BS6 Scorpio Diesel 2.2 L mHawk Base Engine Calibration to meet Hot NEDC, Cold NEDC, BLTC cycle targets for both green and aged after treatment system configurations. b) Speed Limitation Function controller calibration for two Scorpio programs – 140 hp and 120 hp. The introduction of this feature boosted the sales potential of the Scorpio by 60% as it started catering to the commercial taxi segment. c) Supervised the successful homologation of two BS6 Scorpio programs – 140 hp and 120 hp, after the lockdown was lifted. This ensured that the production didn’t come to a halt during the COVID-19 phase, contributing to the sustainability of the business. d) BS6 Scorpio Vehicle Smoke Calibration and Data Analysis in Fleet Vehicles under RWUP - City, Highway driving – that led to significant improvement in Regeneration Interval and Fuel Economy. The total cost of ownership of the vehicle for 1 lakh kms was reduced by 8%. e) Being a single point of contact for ECM dataset management I have to co-ordinate with ECM supplier Bosch(external stakeholder) and multiple COEs(internal stakeholders) - DPF, SCR, OBD, ASMOD - to integrate their periodic inputs into the dataset. f) Being part of a team responsible for ensuring project delivery on time, I have experience in planning of asset allocation(development and fleet vehicles, ECM deployment) across multiple COEs and following up with them for relevant inputs.

Engine Calibration – test bed level - to meet Emission, Performance and OBD regulation requirements. a) Involved in the BSIV development cycle of 3L New Generation Diesel Engine (DOHC, Central Injection) – Component Durability Testing, Type Approval, OBD testing. b) Implementation of AVL Cameo on testbed to automate the calibration activity. Worked extensively with the software to find the best combination of combustion parameters and optimized steady state cycle operating points for emissions, smoke and fuel economy. This resulted in a significant reduction in testing time and cost. c) Technical know-how of instrumentation in the testbed and related measurement apparatus (Have acquired significant troubleshooting experience with Emission Bench, Smoke meter, SPC 478 and Micro Soot Sensor).

a) Design of lean structural supports that act as load carriers for boiler drum and large pipes carrying steam and hot water mixture in a thermal power plant. Achieved material saving through extensive use of analytical tools like ANSYS and CAESAR. b) Detection of failure modes in these high-pressure parts (boiler drum and pipes) carrying high temperature fluids as part of risk mitigation initiative.
