Where these salaries come from

Every number on these pages comes from the current salary people enter in their Weekday profile when they look for jobs, filed under the company they work at. We show fixed salary (CTC without bonus and stock), adjusted for inflation since it was shared. Before any figure is worked out we drop founder and intern titles, salaries under ₹1.5 LPA or over ₹150 LPA, and each company’s top and bottom 5%, so a typo can’t move the numbers. Then we report the median and the middle 50%, never the average or the extremes.

Big companies have tens of thousands of salaries on record; their figures use the newest 5,000. Companies with fewer than 30 salaries are left out of this list until there is enough data. Want to know what a number means in your bank account? Use the in-hand salary calculator, or read CTC vs in-hand salary. Comparing roles rather than companies?
