Akbar Jiwani is a Technical Solutions Consultant with over 16 years of experience in the IT industry. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from VJTI - Mumbai, one of the premier institutes in India. He gained technical and domain expertise in a range of systems in the Insurance Domain at Allianz Insurance. Akbar played a crucial role in implementing development projects on Thames Water's Customer Services applications and was awarded twice with Feather in My Cap accolade for his customer-focused and result-oriented proactive work. Later, he moved to the Legacy Modernization practice at Wipro as an Architect, where he was responsible for developing Wipro's Modernization strategy and SOA enablement of mainframe systems from scratch. Currently, Akbar is managing a $3.5 million project for CITIGROUP Canada, which is the second phase of the largest modernization project won by their practice and very crucial to provide Wipro a big leap into modernization business.
