Akshay Poduval is a skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, he is working at Airtel Digital as an SSE. He has previously worked at Classplus and TCS, where he honed his skills in Streaming, WebRTC, and VoD. At Classplus, Akshay was a part of the Multimedia team that handled Live Classes and VoD Recorded Classes for Tutors on their platform. He was responsible for managing the VoD setup, which included video processing, managing storage buckets, and CDN based distribution using Akamai. He also implemented Multi-Platform DRM for VoD classes to ensure content security and limit piracy, using 3rd Party License Vendors. Akshay upgraded existing code by introducing automated Error Handling in VoD life-cycle and implemented industry-standard DevOps practices on Google Cloud Platform. He also moved the existing architecture to queuing-based video transcoding using Google Pub/Sub. At TCS, Akshay led the development of an enterprise web application for real-time communication and collaboration using WebRTC. He developed a scalable Network Based Video Call Recording feature using Mediasoup libraries. He also developed a scalable Conference Call and Webinar feature using Mediasoup libraries. Akshay holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from M.G.M's Jawaharlal Nehru College of Engineering.
