Alan Thomas is an aspiring engineer with a passion for mobility and a dynamic career in the automotive industry. He is currently working as a Working Student at APTIV Services Deutschland GmbH, where he is a part of the Advanced Engineering Team - Vehicle Prototyping. His main responsibility is the development of Generic Gateway Module using NXP Controllers. Alan has a total of 3.43 years of relevant experience in the field of automotive engineering. Prior to his current role, he worked as an Embedded Software Developer at Bosch, where he was responsible for Application Software Module Development for China OEM. He also worked on Manevour Rating and Analysis (ABS, TCS, HDC, EBD, and more), Degradation Management for ESP ECU and DTC Mapping, ARXML creation using DBC file, Configuration of Messages and Signals in CAN Frame, and Requirements Analysis and Engineering for CAN frame. He has also worked as an ADAS Software Developer at KPIT, where he was responsible for the development, validation, and maintenance of the Reverse Aid (RA) camera feature in automobiles. In this role, he performed analysis, coding, integration, and functional testing for RA software, implemented diagnostic services as per ISO-14229 specification, ported from Non-AUTOSAR Architecture Code to AUTOSAR Architecture Code, and participated in Software pre-study, concept phase, and Software documentation updates. Alan holds a Master's degree in Embedded Systems for Mechatronics from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund, which he is expected to complete in December 2022. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karunya University, which he completed in December 2016. Alan's tech stack includes Software Engineer, test, and Integration. With his experience and education, Alan is well-equipped to excel in the automotive industry and is eager to continue pursuing his passion for mobility.
