Team: Inventory Insights Acquisition • Engineer specializing in automation-driven micro-services to bolster cutting-edge inventory solutions. • Utilize machine-learning data to facilitate systemic inventory adjustments to improve availability and accuracy. Provided engineering guidance during the first phase of development and onwards. Projected to increase annual sales by $280 million. • Work with auditing efforts to gather annual inventory data on Target stores and warehouses. Currently implementing a modernization roadmap to improve our inventory picture by 30%. • Provide external APIs to 3rd party vendors that sell product through Target via scan-based trading. A software engineer though Target's Technology Leadership Program, focused on best in class leadership and technology skills through a rotational program. First rotation team: Orchestration & Automation (DBaaS). • Full-stack engineering work. • Increased efficiency amongst database administrators in maintaining database instances by providing a health-check tool that replaces command-line SSH for simple health inquiries. • Promoted high-availability by migrating micro-service architecture to one that supports database provisioning across multiple data centers. • Custom Docker images using Go and Bash scripting. Second rotation: Janus (machine learning and computer vision). • Full-stack engineering work. • Reactive streams that consume Kafka messages containing image data. • Digested out-of-stock detections via machine-learning and computer-vision in order to promote restocking of empty shelves. Helped expand the operation to 12 stores by activating 200 cameras in our pipeline. • Bootstrapped a modern web application for engineers and partners to manually audit out-of-stock image results for quality assurance. • Capture camera/image metrics to monitor system integrity.

• Using Nihon Kohden, monitored heart rhythms and suggested rhythm diagnoses that could pertain to potential life-threatening conditions for all telemetry patients in the hospital and to chart any changes into Epic so that nurses/doctors were notified of any new data in order to treat patients accordingly. • Troubleshooted and manually set-up heart monitors for patients in the post-coronary care unit to free-up nurses on our floor so they can focus on other aspects of patient care. • Discussed past 24-hour ectopy and other data (heart rhythm, rate, trend-line, conversions) that helped doctors understand their patient's condition to determine best course of treatment.
