Allen Collier

As the project's senior developer, Allen’s primary responsibilities are to see the RDS project from its beginning POC stage through its full implementation. The relational data store on Hadoop project is to support reporting, visual analytics and data analyst requirements for a single source view of the company. He mentors and trains team members new to Hadoop, designs and builds relational data stores, gives logical guidance to new data models to support data modernization and build out these models using hiveQL on Tez and spark/scala with automated schedulers like oozie coordinator. Additional responsibilities are to support CICD releases for the project with Jenkins, Debugging Hadoop system and app logs, build and maintain custom java programs to drive the “ELT” process.
