📡
2022 - Present
nasa
Machine Learning/NLP Intern
Improving the efficiency of the National Airspace System and optimizing flight operations through analyzing and extracting semi or unstructured information from flight documents (Operations Plans).
2021 - 2021
bitlab
Software Engineer Intern
Bitlab is a startup robotics company aimed to help young students dive into programming and computer science. Worked with a team of interns to create the iOS game application “ColorQuest” which will be used by Bitlab. Integrated Firebase with Swift on Xcode to allow users to create game lobbies with customizable rounds.
2020 - 2020
stanford university
Research Internship
Worked with Stanford graduate student Chunlin Sun and researched heavily optimized online convex linear programming algorithms. Implemented dual algorithm in Matlab and Python with stochastic subgradient descent for line search optimization Tested efficiency of algorithms under data of various orders, O(n), O(1), for various distributions, Bernoulli and uniform.
2020 - 2020
san jose state university
Research Intern
I worked with Professor Mark Stamp of San Jose State University and researched malware detection and classification using multiple deep learning methods. My research involved combining and evaluating the efficiency of ensemble learning and deep learning. I processed over 80GB of malware data, extracted features, and built model architectures including support vector machine models, hidden markov models, k-nearest neighbor models, random forest trees, convolutional neural networks, etc. I used ensemble learning methods boosting, bagging, and stacking to improve results. Achieved balanced accuracy of 88.16%, a precision score of 93.84%, a recall score of 93.37%, and an F1 score of 93.13%. The final results of our research were published in the chapter “On Ensemble Learning” in the Springer textbook “Malware Analysis using Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning”.
2019 - 2021
coderdojo
Club Founder
Founder of a computer science club at the local library that is a branch of the international nonprofit CoderDojo. Created curriculum while also taught concepts such as OOP, algorithms, and game/UI design. During COVID-19, published curriculum and recorded educational videos onto the website for members to use. Visit us at https://cupertinocoderdojo.com/ for more information.
2019 - 2020
brighter future learning center
Mathematics Tutor
Privately tutored elementary, middle, and high schoolers and helped them achieve better grades in school and on tests. Taught math concepts and subjects ranging from Geometry to Calculus and edited essays for students.
