    Care Direct is a start-up which offers an all-in-one solution predominately in the domiciliary care sector, which enables patients, family members and carers to stay connected using the latest technologies in order to combat loneliness and provide a higher level of care in the community. My role included managing the day to day running of the business alongside the CEO, managing the projects, creating investment decks, creating financial budgets and company valuations, meeting and pitching to VC investors and successfully securing the first round of funding for the business.

    My role as Chief Operations Officer included planning and managing the day to day operations and running of projects, acting as a liaison point between the team and the CEO, international clients, investors and all other stakeholders. Working directly with the CEO, I was responsible for picking up any tasks pertinent to the business in his absence. I created documentation, from sales decks to process maps and everything in-between, as well as managing the implementation of new processes and procedures, helping the company to grow as business scales. In addition to this I also created and maintained company budgets, collating financial data and making projections, working closely with our CEO and accountant to set a financial strategy for the company. My involvement in meetings, steered the direction of the company through discussions with partners and sales teams. I was responsible for creating and managing funding applications and processes, from start to finish, meeting and pitching to Venture Capitalists, resulting in achieving desired funding targets. I managed the HR team, overseeing all recruitment and HR at a high level. This involved managing the implementation of new policies and procedures, as well as culture change as the company grew in a short space of time, communicating changes throughout every level of the business in a consistent manner. I was heavily involved in the companies 6-month rebranding programme in early 2019, in order to make the company investment ready and aligning with the business strategy.
