Project requirement was setting up a centralized logging solution using AWS services and new relic. The client has multiple AWS accounts wants its Amazon CloudWatch Logs and VPC Flow logs to come from different sub accounts and to delivered to a single auditing account and ingest these logs from auditing account to New Relic. The client also needs to setup dashboard in new Relic for business and stakeholders and real time monitoring and alert mechanism using new relic alerts and policies. •Configured seamless integration between Amazon CloudWatch Logs and Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose by implementing subscription filters and collected logs data from different sub-AWS accounts to Auditing Account. •Designed and implemented subscription filters to capture and transform specific log data streams, enabling real-time delivery to various destination such as New relic and Amazon S3. •Automatically ingest and forward CloudWatch Logs data into New Relic using a Kinesis Data Firehose and New relic HTTP endpoint. •Created custom New Relic dashboards to visualize critical application metrics, providing stakeholders with real-time insights into performance and user experience. •Configured New Relic alert policies based on application-specific thresholds and performance KPIs, ensuring timely notifications for potential issues. •Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define specific log patterns and criteria for filtering, resulting in the delivery of relevant and actionable log data to New Relic. •Streamlined log data processing pipeline, resulting in a 30% reduction in the time it takes to ingest and analyze critical application logs. •Enhanced data security by applying data transformation and encryption during transit from CloudWatch Logs to Kinesis Data Firehose, ensuring compliance with industry standards. •Collaborated with cross-functional teams by sharing New Relic dashboards during incident response, facilitating faster root cause analysis and resolution.
