Amit Bali is a highly experienced Senior Staff Engineer at Tally, with a strong background in software engineering and expertise in working with large distributed systems. With almost 18 years of relevant experience, Amit is skilled in C/C++, Python, .NET Framework, C# with Azure and AWS cloud stacks. Amit has worked on a range of projects throughout his career, including prototyping and implementing the Object Database for Tally, and licensing the TDL editor for the in-house accounting language called TDL. He has also worked on Tally SCM using clearcase with Python as a scripting language. At CloudMagic, Amit was a Senior Tech Lead, responsible for managing a small team, mentoring, planning, and chalking out tasks for driving various features, progress tracking, helping with blockers, and reviews. He also designed and orchestrated the implementation of microservices to execute data models for extracting AI-related information, and implemented a model for date extraction in a mail body. Amit was instrumental in improving the availability of the crawler service from over an hour of downtime during disaster to just four minutes by smart backup of crawler state data. He also helped in setting up the first-ever unit test pipe as part of CD. Amit has a Bachelor's degree in IT from Motivational Pathway and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College. He is well-versed in a range of technologies, including AWS, Azure, AI, microservices, Python, C, Redis, and dotNET. He is a skilled software engineer and a strong engineering professional.
