Amit Somani is a highly skilled Senior Member of Technical Staff at Salesforce with over 4.86 years of relevant experience in software development and engineering. He is a Computer Science graduate student at the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna. Prior to joining UC Irvine, Amit worked at Qualcomm for 2 years, where he developed power optimization software for Qualcomm chipsets. His coursework and past experiences have enabled him to acquire a good understanding of programming skills such as C++, C, Java, Python, API development, software design, and principles. Amit has also worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where he implemented a scalable system to analyze the access patterns for Amazon search's petabyte-scale datasets. The tool helps in the optimization decision to save the storage cost of huge data based on access patterns and audit datasets as per the regulations. He used technologies like AWS Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail to build the solution.
