Aparna Akula, PhD is a Principal Scientist at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, India and an Associate Professor at AcSIR. She is also a Distinguished Young Alumni of NIT Warangal. With a research interest in Infrared Imaging, Seismic Sensing, Computer Vision, Signal & Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Sensing Systems, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in these fields. Aparna has worked on several application domains such as Wildlife monitoring, Human-wildlife conflict, Earthquake warning, Security and surveillance, and NDT. She has been associated with CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation for several years, where she has held various positions, including Senior Scientist and Scientist. Aparna holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Engineering from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, which she completed in 2019. She also holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Advanced Instrumentation Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from NIT Warangal. Aparna's technical skills include Research Scientist, Computer Vision, Image Processing, and ML. She has relevant experience of 4.03 years, which has helped her gain a deep understanding of the industry. Aparna is a dedicated and passionate researcher who has made significant contributions to the field of Science and Technology.
