Apoorav Nischal is a seasoned leader with a strong background in application development, product, and operation. With two decades of experience in IT, he has a good understanding of the intersection between technology and business needs. He has vast experience in strategic planning, customer engagement, program management, and application operations. Apoorav is an Enterprise Architect with core expertise in setting up operations, expanding business, and establishing Centers of Excellence. Apoorav is an Engineer in Electronics from REC (Now NIT) and a National merit scholarship holder, awarded by the Government of India. He has delivered core application development projects and has end-to-end project management experience, including providing 24*7 support. Currently, Apoorav is the Managing Director & Country Head at PowerSchool Group LLC, the #1 leading education technology platform for K-12, serving more than 45 million students, 66 million parents, and 100 million users in over 90 countries around the world. As the MD & Country Head for PowerSchool India, Apoorav is closely working with all the business owners from HQ. PowerSchool India has seen exponential growth, crossing the 1000 employees mark in 3.5 years of existence in India. He ensures that PowerSchool India is operating as a true CoE and supporting PowerSchool global growth through product knowledge, quality deliverables, hiring scale, and operational excellence. Prior to joining PowerSchool, Apoorav worked as Deputy General Manager at HCL, where he headed Global share service delivery (GSSD) for Asia Pacific (APAC) in application operation & delivery. He also worked as Principal Account Manager at R Systems, where he led a team of 100+ that includes developers, testers, SCM, PM, Lab, IPTV Technical Support. Apoorav holds a B.E in Electronics from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and a Management Development Program in Organizational Leadership from IIM. His tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, QA, and Product Manager. With 22.11 years of relevant experience, Apoorav is a valuable asset to any organization.
