Arihant Lunawat is a Robotics Software Developer with over 6 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Senior SLAM Software Developer at Navvis. Arihant is passionate about being an industry 4.0 technology leader and working in teams that encourage innovation and creativity. Arihant specializes in building highly accurate and fast loop rate SLAM solutions for various platforms such as trains, cars, ship yard container vehicles, logistics vehicles, trucks, and quadruped (Spot). He is well-versed in working with various sensors such as LiDAR, IMU, Wheel encoders, Camera, UWB, and Radar. His expertise lies in developing applications for autonomous driving, autonomous trucking, inspection robotics, warehouse & logistics automation, among others. Prior to joining Navvis, Arihant has worked as a Robotics Algorithm Developer and Senior Robotics Algorithm Developer at Humatics, where he developed novel localization solutions with IMU and UWB radio technology. He also deployed safe, robust, and centimetre-accurate localization systems for pilot projects with NYC Department of Transport and NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority. His work improved NYC metro schedule efficiency 10x for NYC MTA and performed on par with RTK-GPS accuracy while providing a higher rate location estimate on cars driving in dense urban Manhattan streets, with minimal retro-fitting during trials with NYC DOT. Arihant has a Master's Degree in EE from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in EEE from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus.
