Arijit Samaddar is a Cyber Risk Management professional with over 6.5 years of experience in the Information Security domain. Currently, he is working as a Product Management Principal at IHS Markit. Arijit is well-versed with various cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and standards. He has worked with Tata Consultancy Services and Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. in the past. Arijit has a PGDM in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication from West Bengal University of Technology. He also holds a High School degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Biology from WBCHSE/Laban Hrad Vidyapith and X from WBBSE/Laban Hrad Vidyapith. He has performed comprehensive quality review of numerous cyber risk assessment reports of vendors, conducted remote assessments of various third parties, and carried out different project management activities including resource management, assessment planning-scoping, assisting in onsite assessment execution, facilitating post-assessment review, and coordinating with all stakeholders. Arijit has experience in third party cyber risk assessments leveraging NIST cybersecurity framework, PCI-DSS, CIS benchmark, etc. He has also been involved in cyber security maturity model creation, assessment questionnaire framing, SWIFT Customer Security Programme assessment of a financial institution, and ITGC testing in the projects of pharmaceutical clients. Arijit has actively participated in continuous learning initiatives and business continuity management exercises of the firm.
