Avik Chowdhury is a Senior Security Engineer with over 9 years of experience in Cloud Security, Container Security, and Network Security Monitoring solutions. He is currently working at Visa as a Cloud Security specialist, where he is responsible for designing secure public cloud infrastructure and cloud threat detection policies. Avik is also exploring and innovating solutions to solve systemic problems for cloud security, Kubernetes, service mesh, IAM, application security, and supply chain security. Avik has also worked at Citrix as a Senior Security Engineer, where he conducted security reviews and threat modeling of Citrix Cloud to identify areas of risk and provide specific technical guidance to help ensure any gaps are remediated. He also researched secure design patterns and architectures and drove their implementation to protect Citrix Cloud networks and systems. Avik has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology. Avik's technical skills include AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, Ansible, Docker, Microservices, DevOps, and Web development. He is also a GPEN, GNFA, and AWS Certified Security Specialty professional.
