Balakrishnan Vinchu is a highly motivated and experienced data science solutions architect with over 19 years of relevant experience. He is a quick learner and technology adopter with an agile mindset for creating impactful innovation and products for the betterment of people. Currently working as a Senior Scientist at Philips, he is responsible for the end-to-end adoption of AI from research to production in healthcare applications and use cases. Balakrishnan is passionate about learning new technologies and enjoys working in challenging environments. He specializes in enterprise platform design for analytics and data science, project planning and estimations, microservices using Docker/Cloud Foundry, AWS, Big Data with Spark and Hive using HortonWorks, Python, R, Java, .net, C++, Salt, and Blockchain using Hyperledger. In his previous roles at Philips, Balakrishnan was responsible for creating a data science platform that could scale for enterprise users, with ML, DL, and NLP capabilities for multi-cloud and on-premise deployment. He also created a distributed big data machine learning platform using Spark, H2O, and Hadoop ecosystem and data science assets and data science platform hosted in AWS cloud for machine learning using R and Python. Balakrishnan holds a BE degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and completed his HSC from Sourashtra Higher Secondary School. His tech stack includes research scientist, data scientist, senior software engineer, product manager, AWS, blockchain, Spark, AI, big data, Python, Docker, ML, microservices, deep learning, NLP, Java, Apache Hive, and Hadoop.
