Balaram Jeyaraman is a highly motivated and experienced Solution Engineering Manager at Instabase, with over a decade of experience in software engineering, image processing, and data science. He is a graduate of Coimbatore Institute of Technology, where he earned a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering. Balaram is passionate about building something from scratch and working with different people to learn from them. At Instabase, Balaram leads a team of 16 Solution Engineers, deploying groundbreaking technical solutions to solve complex problems for clients in the insurance, financial services, healthcare, logistics, and other industries globally. He works with Technical Account Managers, Sales Account Executives, Software Engineers, and Client's Executive Members to transform complex documents and data using highly configurable toolkits and powerful building blocks. Balaram has a wealth of experience in Python, Data Science, Image Processing, and creating an awesome working environment and team. Before joining Instabase, Balaram worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Intel, where he was involved in the design and implementation of the Intel Marketplace solution in Salesforce. He also led a team of Intel employees and contractors for Intel Marketplace delivery, was involved in POC for various new solutions, and presented architectural changes in technical review meetings. Balaram was also a product owner for Ball Inspection and Epoxy Inspection, which are metrology applications that improve yield by identifying killer defects and preventing downstream equipment damage with an estimated ROI at ~$25M. Balaram has also worked as an Associated Software Engineer at Misys. He has a wealth of experience in understanding and implementing complex image processing algorithms in C++ with Intel's Integrated Performance Primitives (IPP) and OpenCV libraries. He led a large-scale consolidation effort of all content management systems in the factories and proposed a multi-tier framework architecture with a clean interface and abstraction that resulted in saving ~$1M in HW cost, licensing cost, and >50% man-hour reduction in qualifying third-party products. He also led the end-to-end product development cycle for the Auto Response Flow Checklist (RFC) system, which is used for fixing excursions in the factories.
