Bharat Agarwal is a highly skilled and experienced software engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience. Currently on a break, he was previously a Software Engineer at Atlassian, where he worked on a chaos engineering framework that was used to run 'war games' on their services. He then migrated to a product team that develops and maintains a migration orchestration framework for Jira, which is used by customers looking to migrate from self-hosted server instances to their managed cloud product. Prior to his work at Atlassian, Bharat was a Co-Creator and Software Engineer at Mothership, an open-source platform-as-a-service for deploying small applications. Here, he designed a distributed multi-tenant architecture for deployed applications, programmatically provisioned deployment-ready servers on DigitalOcean with Docker Machine, and implemented API calls to Docker Swarm to perform CRUD functions with containers on the remote manager machine. He also leveraged WebSockets for providing service logs to users and streamed application build outputs to web and CLI using Server Sent Events. Bharat also worked as an Architect at Independent, where he designed 'Pod Mahal' and 'Chand Baori', housing and a public space respectively, which were built at the Burning Man Festival in '18 and '19 in collaboration with Disorient. He also worked on the urban plan for the Singularity, a proposal for a techno commune in Yelahanka, Bangalore, in collaboration with Jaaga. Bharat holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Software Engineering from Bradfield School of Computer Science, which he will complete in 2023.
