Bhushan Sonawane is a passionate Machine Learning Engineer with a strong focus on Applied ML and ML Systems. Currently working at Apple, he is involved in AI Frameworks specifically on device ML, and has made select contributions to CoreML Converters, Neural Network, Tools, and Compiler. Bhushan has worked on Computer Vision as part of Applied ML and has developed an AI framework for building on-device inference pipelines. His interests lie in designing neural networks and building systems to optimize and run them efficiently on the edge. Prior to his work at Apple, Bhushan worked at Nvidia, where he optimized graphics compiler and worked on LLVM SPIR-V compiler and assemblers. He has a strong background in problem-solving and building products from the ground-up. Bhushan has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology. He also holds Higher Secondary Certificate from Fergusson College and Secondary School Certificate from Lonkar Madhyamik Vidyalaya. Bhushan's technical expertise includes ML, AI, Computer Vision, Neural Networks, Software Engineering, and infra. With almost 5 years of relevant experience, he is a highly skilled and dedicated professional with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of Machine Learning.
