Bhuvan Mohan is a highly skilled engineer with a passion for distributed storage/computing, algorithms, graphs and networks, mathematics, and programming. He is an alumnus of BITS Pilani, where he studied Computer Science. Bhuvan has extensive experience in Java, Android, Apache Directory Server, JMS, and Python. He is proficient in databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Aerospike. Currently, Bhuvan is an Angel Investor, Mentor, and Thought Leader at dicon ventures. He has also worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Ofbusiness, where he collaborated with a team of full-stack rockstars to deliver cool stuff. Prior to that, he was a Software Engineer 2 at Snapdeal, where he built next-gen catalog using edge homegrown as well as open-source technologies engineered to scale. He has also worked on various other projects, including catalog assortment, exploring and implementing latest open-source data sources, and implementing data pipelines to crunch data rows in excess of 500 million every day. Bhuvan is constantly seeking means to learn and contribute back to the community. He has a blog called casualreflections.io, where he shares his interests and experiences. Bhuvan has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, where he graduated in 2013. He also has a CBSE HSC degree in Sciences from Army Public School, Lucknow, where he graduated in 2008.
