Brian Burns is a Co-Founder and CPTO at GigLabs, where he leads the product and tech strategy for building NFT and Metaverse products for brands. With over 15 years of expertise in software, networking, and security products, Brian has a strong background in leading and collaborating with global teams in various roles, including product management, software engineering, and systems architecture. He has driven agile adoption at his past two companies and is proficient in solidity and smart contract development, using the latest Ethereum standards, including ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-998, ERC-1538, and ERC-2535. Currently, Brian works as a Software Engineer at Acme Packet, where he designs and delivers high-performance security and system software for the company's Session Border Controller (SBC) networking products. In the past, he has worked as a Software Manager at Adva Optical Networking, where he managed a team of software engineers and helped drive process change to Agile/Scrum across the organization. He was also one of three global software architects for Adva's largest product line and led a number of high-profile development projects, including the redesign of the end-to-end control plane communications architecture. Brian is a Bachelor of Science (BS) graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has gained certifications as both a Scrum Master and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) practitioner. His tech stack includes NFT, Blockchain, Smart Contract, product manager, DeFi, Ethereum, and Solidity.
