Chaitanya Ghone is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the field. He received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer at Intel Corporation. Chaitanya has worked in various companies such as SigmaQuant Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Texas Instruments, and Acceletrade. In his previous role as a Lead Member Technical Staff at Acceletrade, he was responsible for DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure management for High-Frequency Trading (HFT). He developed multiple Python-based tools, automated systems, and UIs for trading operations. Additionally, he worked on a C++17-based HFT platform and developed back-testing infrastructure on AWS Batch. He is proficient in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Flask, and other technologies required for trading operations. At Texas Instruments, Chaitanya worked as a Software Systems Engineer (Silicon Validation), where he validated the new Jacinto6 (Vayu) family of SOCs. He worked across HW and SW teams to validate the processor in a pre-Silicon verification environment. He was instrumental in bringing up several key IPs like Video Capture, Display Sub-system, EMIF, GMAC, USB by debugging critical HW and SW issues. He created an SW-based screening flow for testing the stability of initial samples and worked directly with customers to identify key HW and SW design issues and provide workarounds to avoid delays in end-customer deliveries. Chaitanya has extensive experience in video codecs like H.264, MPEG4, VC-1, VP6/7/8, and Real Video. He has played a key role in pre-Silicon HW and SW development of video codecs on the IVAHD and IVAHD2 video codec accelerators for TI platforms like OMAP4, TI81x. He has handled multiple responsibilities in various phases of IP development, starting from use-case analysis for IP specification, pre-Silicon validation of HW, SW development, to extending the life of IP post-Silicon by enabling modes beyond specifications. Chaitanya has a strong understanding of SoC and IP architectures from the point of view of HW-SW interactions. He is proficient in using open-source video processing tools like MPlayer, FFMPEG, Avisynth, and has a working knowledge of DV tools like NCSIM, ModelSim.
