Chakshu Ahuja is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 5 years of industry experience in both enterprise companies and startups. He is passionate about designing and building reliable, scalable systems and solving real-world hard AI problems using Machine learning and Deep learning technologies. Currently, Chakshu is working at Instacart as a Senior Software Engineer. Chakshu's previous experience includes working as an Engineering Lead & Manager at X2AI, where he engineered the core conversational AI engine using a mixture of Deep Learning and NLP techniques and Knowledge based learning. He also orchestrated various AI modules like Emotion Analyzer, Conversational State Machine, Active Listening, Topic Detection, Q&A using SOTA technologies for AI models like GPT-3, BERT, and traditional NLP techniques. Chakshu has productionized and released the new rewritten core backend system by setting up AWS Infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3). He automated migration of databases, cross-over traffic, handled double writes, and monitoring facilitating migration of 40+ clients and 1M users having access to the service. Chakshu holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Trichy. Additionally, Chakshu has completed his high school education from C.J.S Public School and St. Joseph's Convent School.
