Chandru Jayapalan is a highly motivated and inquisitive Security Architect with over 10 years of relevant experience. He has a passion for security and is determined to improve the security posture of any organization he works for. Currently, he is working as a Security Architect at Zoho, where he has led the development of customized scalable solutions for application security testing and significantly improved the organization's security posture. Chandru has an impressive track record of managing the development of various security tools, including Java Runtime application self-protection (RASP), secret analysis tool, and machine learning-based vulnerability database. He has also organized Red team activities within the organization and discovered multiple critical vulnerabilities. Chandru is a great communicator and has interacted with customers regarding security concerns. He has also provided guidance for GDPR and HIPAA related features for the product. Before joining Zoho, Chandru worked as a Member Technical Staff at Zoho, where he introduced the security audit process into the SDLC process and performed pentesting for multiple products. He also managed the development of improved versions of Java and JavaScript static analysis tools, configuration analysis, and software component analysis (SCA) tools. Additionally, he facilitated and presented security awareness and hands-on training for the team and organized bug bounty programs and pentesting events within the team/organization. Chandru has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering. He has experience in various tech stacks, including Senior Software Engineer, ML, Java, test, Web, Software Engineer, and Javascript.
