Chetan Baweja is a Senior Cloud Solution Architect with over 14 years of experience in the field of Cloud Solutions, Network Data & Security. He is currently working with Microsoft as a Senior Cloud Solution Architect. He specializes in Routing, Switching, Firewalls, MPLS VPN, Protocols, and has expertise in configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure. Chetan has previously worked with HCL as a Cloud Security Consultant, where he designed, implemented, and maintained all Azure & AWS Security & Network infrastructure and services within a managed service environment. He has provided high availability for IaaS VMs and PaaS role instances for access from other services in the VNet with Azure Internal Load Balancer. He has implemented high availability with Azure Classic and Azure Resource Manager deployment models. He has designed Network Security Groups (NSGs) to control inbound and outbound access to network interfaces (NICs), VMs, and subnets. He has also set up Azure Virtual Appliances (VMs) to meet security requirements as software-based appliance functions (firewall, WAN optimization, and intrusion detections). He has utilized NSGs for layer 4 Access Control List (ACLs) for incoming and outgoing packets. He has designed User Defined Routes with custom route tables for specific cases to force tunnelling to the Internet via On-premise network and control the use of virtual appliances in the customer's Azure environment. He has associated routes with Virtual networks via the route table per relationship constraints. He has managed IP Forwarding for VMs and role instances acting as virtual appliances. He has configured BGP routes to enable ExpressRoute connections between on-premise data centres and Azure cloud.
