Chris Tan is a seasoned Sr. Product Manager with over 15 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. He is currently working at armory.io, a CI/CD platform that extends Spinnaker, where he leads product development and management. Chris is a YC alumni and has a proven track record of creating successful products that have resulted in significant pipeline growth. At armory.io, Chris has led five product teams to build a SaaS MVP, resulting in $X MM in pipeline growth within a quarter. He has also converted Armory's white-glove offering into a product by defining key areas to automate, enabling the team to reduce operational overhead and increase onboarding capacity by 3X. Chris has also defined the Product North Star and leading indicators through the analysis of customer trends, which has helped Armory to improve uptime, reduce costs, and increase deployment frequency for customers like Discovery, Giphy, OpenGov, etc. Prior to armory.io, Chris founded binarei, a real estate and investment education company. He has also worked as a Product Manager at very good security, a security software company that protects sensitive data for FinTech companies. At very good security, Chris managed four separate product tracks and led 20+ engineers in both the U.S. and Ukraine. He defined a self-service onboarding flow that led to a 98% reduction in onboarding time and improved critical product areas resulting in a 75% reduction of customer support requests. Chris has a degree in Computer Systems Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and completed the Y Combinator program in 2016.
