Clement Lloyd Pounrajan is an experienced application developer currently working at ThoughtWorks. With over 3 years of experience in pair programming with some of the brightest minds from Boeing and AeroInfo, Clement has become an expert in building spring boot microservices and deploying them on Azure based on the Netflix architecture. He is always exploring and evaluating new technologies, especially those related to the spring cloud stack releases, for his team. Clement has worked with Infosys in the past as a Technology Lead and Technology Analyst. As part of the Azure Pilots team, he was responsible for setting up the CI/CD pipeline for their microservices that dealt with user access and authorization in Azure. He also developed an automated elastic search index upgrade library to support rolling deployments with zero downtime. Additionally, Clement set up Hashicorp vault in AWS and used its pki secrets engine to generate dynamic X509 certificates signed by an intermediate certificate authority. He quickly ramped up in Golang and wrote a routine that would fetch a unique certificate from the vault and create a JKS KeyStore for use by the microservice that would subsequently be installed on the EC2 instance. As part of the user access and authorization team, Clement implemented Hystrix and Feign client on the calls made to the core access control service to make it more resilient. He also generated basic reports using Power BI to capture and analyze user access and authorization-related metrics, using SQL server as the data source. Additionally, he developed a SOAP web service integration library that has the APIs to consume web services. They use this library to send emails to customers, retrieve authorization information of a customer, and enable customers to submit document change requests. Apart from his work, Clement keeps himself busy helping fellow developers at Stack Overflow or working on interesting Raspberry Pi/algorithmic projects. He is proficient in Java, JavaScript, and SSL debugging. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology.
