Derrick Harcey is a seasoned professional with over 28 years of experience in Information Technologies. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CISSP® and a member of Infragard and a certified AWS Solutions Architect. Derrick has extensive expertise in Security architecture, Identity Management, Data security, mobile application security, web services security, Compliance, Federation, SSO, and Directory Services. As the Chief Architect at Securonix, Derrick is responsible for SaaS infrastructure for the Securonix service. He manages a team of Site Reliability Engineers, architects DevOps Engineers, Hadoop Administrators and Cloud Administrators. Derrick's team is responsible for the cloud and on-premise architecture, security hardening, scalability, and performance of Securonix solutions. He is also the lead architect for the product design and development for Big Data solutions of the Securonix Security Analytics Platform. Derrick has worked with customers on a global basis across industries. Prior to Securonix, he was the ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) Solution Lead for North American Public Sector at Oracle. In this capacity, he was the public sector lead for enterprise security architecture alignment with government standards including the NIST 800 Series, FIPS, and FISMA. Derrick is a project founder of the open source Project OpenPTK and has been an active Java developer since Java’s inception. He has also worked as a Master Principal Sales Consultant at Oracle in the Public Sector Technology organization. Derrick's technical expertise includes Senior Software Engineer, AWS, Spark, Java, Hadoop, Mobile, Web, SRE, Big Data, product designer, Kafka, DevOps, and infra.
