Dhileepan Thangamanimaran is a Senior Member Technical at D. E. Shaw Group with a strong belief that learning never ends. With 2.19 years of relevant experience, he has worked on multiple projects and contributed to the development cycle by actively participating in requirement and design discussions. In his current role at arcesium, Dhileepan has initiated, designed, and developed a parallel executer for a python-based proprietary rules framework that divides the data and computes parallelly in the grid. This has significantly reduced the time taken for historical data evaluation. He has also analyzed diverse proprietary, purchased, and open finance domain datasets and developed python-based data assessment infrastructure focusing on performance and reliability. Dhileepan has authored numerous python scripts, modules, recipe repositories, and documentation, which has facilitated the team to solve problems without having to re-invent the wheel again. He has also performed bug fixes and enhancements in critical ETL system that creates and maintains 50+ attributes for 1M+ financial instruments. Apart from his technical contributions, Dhileepan has also improved the release process for a self-serve BI web application, which has reduced 0.5 person-hours every release and eliminated the scope for critical production deficiencies. He has also performed historical data analysis on time-series attributes of a specific asset class spanning over 2 decades and presented the findings to the stakeholders with metrics and visualizations. Dhileepan started his career as a Software Engineer Intern at arcesium and has also worked as a Placement Secretary at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, where he led a team of 30 other students and organized campus placements for more than 1500 students amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Dhileepan holds an Integrated M.Sc. Software Systems degree from Coimbatore Institute of Technology and an HSC degree in Computer Science from St. Patrick Matriculation Higher Secondary School. His tech stack includes Python, ETL, Web, Infra, and Software Engineering.
