Dhiraj Gupta is a seasoned and passionate software developer and entrepreneur who never gives up until he achieves his set goals. With over 14 years of professional experience, he is constantly learning and developing new ideas to adapt to ever-changing requirements in the tech industry. Currently, Dhiraj is the Lead of Software Engineering for Mobile Platforms at OANDA, where he is responsible for both iOS and Android apps. The mobile trading platform is the primary engagement platform at OANDA with an audience of traders who create, monitor, and manage trades in forex and other financial instruments. He efficiently manages, mentors, and supports remote working team members in Agile bi-weekly sprints while also interviewing and approving candidates for open positions on the team. In his previous roles, Dhiraj has managed teams of core developers, spread across the globe, and was responsible for overall solution architecture. He moved the entire backend onto Google Kubernetes Engine with horizontal auto-scaling to handle dynamic traffic load. Multiple backend components including Yii2 REST API, Graphql on Apollo Server, Django all inter-connected. Native Android app in Kotlin + Java, Progressive web app in React and iOS app in React Native. Dhiraj's achievements include making live the first iOS app version of Just Buy Live and sustaining the development of the Android app with an exponentially growing user base. He has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Northern Arizona University and is skilled in mobile, iOS, backend, senior software engineering, Android, React Native, software engineering, Kubernetes, and web development.
