Dhruv Gaba is an experienced Robotics Engineer with a passion for Automation, Autonomous Navigation, Advanced Mechatronics, and Self Driving Cars. He specializes in algorithms like Metric and Topological SLAM, Localization (Kalman Filter Sensor Fusion), Motion/ Path Planning algorithm (A* and D* lite), Optimal control and Reinforcement Learning, and Swarm Formation control algorithms. Dhruv has in-depth knowledge about camera calibration (intrinsic & extrinsic) and hands-on experience with the tracking (sensor fusion - 3 cam triangulation & IMU stylus). He is experienced in C/C++ 11/14, Python, ROS, OpenCV, SLAM (Localization & Mapping), Path Planning, Robot Kinematics, and has worked extensively with hardware platforms like Arduino, Raspberry PI, and Nvidia Jetson Tx1 & Tx2 for several projects and during industrial internships (Duro UAS, and Swarm Robotix). Some of the projects that Dhruv has worked on include Mobile Robot with Soft-Robotic Hand, Computer Vision based Garbage segregator, Wearable Heart Attack saver watch, IoT based home automation system via Gestures, Self-Security Quadcopter Mission planning, and many more. Dhruv's past experience includes working as Chief Research Officer at rees52.com, where he supervised the technical team for the development of customized automation solutions for clients in IOT home automation solutions. He has also led the research team in the development of Robotics Kits based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi 3+ for high school & undergraduate students. Dhruv has also worked as Vice Chairperson at bvpieee ras, conducting educational workshops for teaching undergraduate students about introductory and advanced concepts of Robotics with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and additional sensors and actuators. Dhruv holds a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth. He has a relevant experience of 5.27 years and is proficient in Software Engineering, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, OpenCV, C, Mobile, Research Scientist, Deep Learning, and Python. Dhruv is currently working as Head of Infrastructure and logistics at bvpieee, responsible for human resource and infrastructure for the college festivals and events conducted by IEEE in Bharati Vidya Peeth's College of Engineering.
