Dinesh Makkar is an experienced software engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the software industry. He is skilled in offering cutting-edge engineering solutions and is proficient in problem-solving and executing software tasks from start to finish. Dinesh has demonstrated excellent skills in Javascript, specifically in ReactJS and NodeJS, which he has been working with for over 3 years. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer at Tesco, where he collaborates with product managers and UX engineers to develop a ReactJS single-page application. He follows agile methodology and implements various performance optimization techniques like network calls debouncing, throttling, cancellation, code splitting, and caching. He also follows optimal development and testing practices like unit, integration, and automation testing and covers failure scenarios by using error boundaries and logging UI crashes. In addition to this, Dinesh has also developed REST API endpoints and implemented a redis pub-sub based solution to update certain configurations to avoid deployments and downtime for every future config change. He has also designed and developed a job scheduler from scratch to support large file downloads in conjunction with polling from UI for one of the app user roles, which was later extended to several other user roles without any significant changes.
