Divik Mittal is an experienced Backend Engineer with a strong background in software engineering and operational excellence. Currently, he works as a Backend Engineer at CRED, where he is involved in making CRED rewarding for good actors. With a relevant experience of 3.11 years, Divik has a proven track record of delivering high-impact customer-facing features and successfully migrating data for live services with zero downtime. Prior to joining CRED, Divik worked as a Software Engineer at Amazon, where he was responsible for a wide range of projects. He successfully migrated data for two services serving live Retail Website Traffic with zero downtime, preventing four hours of downtime and 24-48 hours of customer impact. He also implemented changes in a Perl-based build system to interface it with the new Vehicle Ingestion System, reducing the ingestion time from one week to one day. Additionally, he wrote UI integration tests using Cypress, led multiple operational excellence initiatives like Full CI/CD, metrics, and dashboards, and mentored three interns. Before his role as a Software Engineer, Divik worked as an SDE Intern at Amazon, where he built an end-to-end serverless web solution from scratch to automate the vehicle data ingestion process. He also delivered a high-impact customer-facing feature to enhance the automotive customer shopping experience in Europe, which is now live on retail websites in all Amazon Europe marketplaces.
