Divya Manglam is a skilled Data Scientist with over 6 years of relevant experience. Currently working as a Data Scientist II at Amazon, she is a part of the Customer Experience team where she focuses on automation and improving customer experience. Her work involves text classification, speech recognition, ensemble learning, and clustering analysis among other topics. Divya completed her Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech.) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in Engineering Design. During her academic years, she interned at finance and engineering companies and did her master’s project on the application of nonlinear control scheme on parallel manipulators. Divya is skilled in Python (Keras, TF, NLTK), R, C++, Matlab, Mathematica, SQL, with beginner level competency in Hadoop, Spark and other Big Data technologies. Her research interests include Natural Language Understanding, Deep NN, RL & ML application in Robotics. Before joining Amazon, Divya worked as a Data Scientist at Siemens and as a Project Engineer where she was involved in Research & Development Projects in the field of Simulation and Optimization. She implemented novel Multi-Disciplinary Optimization Architectures to better simulate the real-life functioning of complex multi-physics systems, which resulted in a 28% improvement in the design optimization problem. She also initiated the incorporation of MDO processes in the company’s commercial optimization software.
