Edson Oliveira is an independent and detail-oriented R&D Scientist with a solid background in Virology/Immunology and over 6 years of experience, including 5 years of academic work and 1+ years of industry experience. Currently working at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Scientist III in Cell Biology, he supports multiple Product Development workstreams in viral-based gene therapy, with a focus on upstream and downstream deliverables of recombinant AAV production systems. Edson is highly proficient on the bench and has experience in mentoring students and training cross-functional staff in major lab techniques such as tissue culture, viral vector production/purification, ELISA, qPCR, WB, Flow Cytometry, among others.
