Elvis D'Souza is a Vice President of Product Engineering at Sensara, a fast-growing startup that is revolutionizing the PayTV and OTT subscriber experience with their self-learning Knowledge Engine. With over 11 years of relevant experience, Elvis has a deep understanding of the engineering and technical aspects of product development. Elvis has a strong background in software engineering and has worked on various projects that involve mobile, Python, ML, MongoDB, Search, Information Retrieval, and Frontend. He has previously worked at Insieve, a venture-backed Contextual Discovery startup, where he played the role of a full-stack engineer, handling server frontend, analytics, and user interfaces. At Pugmarks, a Content Discovery product for consumers, Elvis built an interests-based social network and developed various algorithms around textual streams. He also conducted user interviews and used analytics to assess the performance of product features. At Dhiti, an Internal Discovery product for publishers, Elvis built extensions for content management systems and implemented an image thumbnailing server using Python Imaging Library & MongoDB. Elvis has also worked as an intern at InMobi, where he worked on an application of Machine Learning to identify users on a mobile ad network without the use of cookie information. This information can be used to improve the relevance of ads delivered on the ad network. Elvis holds a BE degree in Engineering from PES and a Pre-University degree in PCMB from Alva's Pre-University College. He has a keen interest in Machine Learning and Information Retrieval. Elvis is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about solving hard problems using mobile, machine learning, and hardware.
