Feroz Shaikh is a highly experienced Global Infrastructure & Operations professional with over 22 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently, he serves as the Head of Systems at technicolor, where he is responsible for managing the company's infrastructure and operations. He possesses a diverse skill set that includes Data Center Management, Virtualization, Private & Public Cloud Management, and more. Feroz has worked with several top companies throughout his career, including ecotech and bmc software. At bmc software, he served as a Sr. Manager IT, where he was part of the Global “Data Center & Cloud Services” Team. He managed cloud services discipline and provided support to over 40K virtual machines and 2500+ physical servers. He administered level 3 support team with direct reports from North America, EMEA, and India. Feroz also monitored a team of Systems Administrators supporting multiple operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server, RHEL, CentOS, SUSE, AIX, Solaris, and HP-UX. Feroz is skilled in deploying and supporting VMware, Hyper-V, RHEL KVM, and Xen Server. He has experience working with various storage platforms, including EMC Celerra and Clarion, Hitachi VSP, Hitachi G1000 and G1500, NetApp, Dell Compellent, Hitachi HNAS, and Windows File Servers on NTFS and CIFS. He also has experience in reviewing global IT infrastructure utilization, trends, and assessing growth projections. Feroz has spearheaded the Global Data Center consolidation initiative, which helped reduce 36 Data Centers spread across the globe using 62000 Sq. Ft. and 1.6 Megawatt Power to 4 Data Centers using 7500 Sq. Ft. and 640KW power, saving $4.6M in Operational Expenses. He has also facilitated hybrid cloud deployment and management, On-prem BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.6, and public cloud on AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform. Feroz possesses a strong technical background in infra, Senior Software Engineer, AWS, Research Scientist, and Azure. He is highly skilled in new technology research, evaluation, implementation, and adoption for Server, Storage, and Hyper-Converged Platforms.
