Garvit Khatri is a software engineer and co-founder of Proton App, with a passion for helping people earn through decentralized finance. He has a strong background in web development, having started in 2013 with a startup called Shiplock. Garvit has since worked with Zomato and Adobe as a software engineer and contributed to open source projects such as KDE, Mozilla Firefox, WikiRead, and CPython. Garvit is particularly interested in UI/UX design and follows a hook model cycle by Nir Eyal to design better products for users. He has experience working with React, Redux, and vanilla JavaScript, and enjoys playing around with JavaScript. At Proton App, Garvit has played a key role in transitioning the service-based offering to a SaaS-based platform in less than five months, which boosted revenue by $680K. He also pivoted the SaaS solution into an educational app called Focus within three months, successfully onboarding 3000 users from more than 10 schools. Garvit has also strategized product changes and led the tech team to increase the DoD assignment creation and submissions. He launched chat and video with third-party integrations for a quicker implementation to ride the COVID tailwind. Garvit has also worked as a product manager at Pyxis One, where he helped onboard three new clients, Bikanerwalla, Akshaya Patra, and Haldiram. He worked closely with clients to understand their requirements and improve the product by introducing features like contract management and multi-line product auctions. Garvit also worked with the web team to improve performance and restructure a few pages after having discussions with the client. Garvit holds a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Delhi College of Engineering and completed his high school education at D.A.V Public School. His relevant experience in the field is 6.28 years, and his tech stack includes Decentralized, Web, JavaScript, Software Engineer, Redux, UI, product manager, designer, Android, iOS, Frontend, and Backend.
