Gaurav Aggarwal is an experienced software engineer with over 7 years of experience in the internet industry. He is skilled in Android, React Native, Java, Kotlin, Typescript, Data Structure, and Algorithms. Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) from Maharaja Agrasen Institute Of Technology. Currently, Gaurav works as an SDE 3 - Android at Blinkit, where he takes end-to-end ownership of the core platform, app performance, networking, CI/CD, and security. He has set up the React Native framework from scratch and converted the consumer app into a Hybrid app that is fully backend-driven and supports OTA updates. Gaurav has also worked on automating views, analytics, click actions, navigation, branch management, and app releases. Previously, Gaurav worked as an SDE 2 at Grofers, where he scaled the React Native framework to other platforms such as web, mWeb, and iOS. He automated impression events from the frontend by creating an analytics layer on the backend and revamped the whole payments module on Android, which improved the overall payments success rate by ~8%. Additionally, Gaurav worked on multiple services in the backend for feature development and was involved in architecture and design discussions during multiple feature development. Gaurav has also worked as an Android Developer at Airtel, where he worked on the Wynk Music app, which has over 50 million downloads. He developed an in-house ad architecture for newly introduced ads on the app and worked with Google's team for integration of mediation networks for native and banner ads using DFP. Gaurav developed Wynk SDK for Samsung's My Galaxy app and worked on multiple tech debts for improving app performance, reducing its size, and refactored existing codebase to MVP pattern.
