Gaurav Gaur is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Navis with over 15 years of experience in product development organizations. He has a strong emphasis on software architecture, design, and development, with over 8 years of experience as a technical leader. Gaurav is proficient with various programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, and C#, and has worked on application and backend development on both Windows and Linux platforms. He is well-versed in client-server development, multi-threading technology, software optimizations, REST API design and development, and system modeling concepts. Gaurav has experience working in diverse domains and products such as CAD/CAM (MetaCAM), instant messaging (RediffBol), user management system (PayPal), machine control and image computer systems (KLA), and web tools in the fintech domain (Oanda). Apart from his professional work, Gaurav is passionate about yoga, reading books, walking, and table tennis. In his previous role at Oanda, Gaurav led a team of 3 members as a Team Lead for Investment Products. He designed and developed REST API backend using Java8 and Springboot and established software performance metrics for all the web tools. He also managed vendor deliverables who worked on the front-end of the new tools. Gaurav successfully developed three brand new web tools from scratch to finish and iterated two of them based on customer feedback. He migrated deployment of these tools from On-Prem deployment to container deployment via Google Kubernetes Engine, and developed a scalable horizontal architecture to manage higher loads easily. Gaurav's experience at KLA involved playing both IC and Team Lead roles at the eBeam Team. He contributed to key projects such as SEM Spiral Search Continuous Improvement, Job Throttling, Image Computer Communication Redesign, RESTful Image Service for Virtual Inspection & Virtual Review, and Image Computer Improvements. He is proficient in various technologies such as C#, C++ (Managed, Unmanaged), Java, Python, JNI, Multithreading, CORBA, Socket, etc., and platforms such as Windows Server and Linux. Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and completed XII from Jawaharlal Nehru Sr. Secondary School, Bhimmandi, Kota,
