Gaurav Lalchandani is a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer currently working at arcesium. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Gaurav has a strong background in software engineering, machine learning, and Python infrastructure. Prior to his current role, Gaurav worked at D. E. Shaw & Co. where he was a lead developer in the Python infrastructure team. During his time there, he worked on a variety of projects including the development of a proprietary Python webserver and infra level projects. He was also a core committee member for PyCon 2020. Gaurav has extensive experience working with a range of languages and technologies including Python, Nginx, uWSGI, OpenID Connect, and Zookeeper. In addition to his work at D. E. Shaw & Co., Gaurav has also worked as a Software Development Intern at arcesium where he redesigned the Portfolio Management Application infrastructure by introducing GraphQL and authored wrapper components to support the new infrastructure. He has also mentored summer interns and participated in hackathons. Gaurav holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) and completed his schooling at Sheiling House School.
