Gaurav Mishra is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is working at Microsoft Bangalore as a Software Engineer II, where he is a part of the Azure Storage team. Gaurav's expertise lies in the world of Cloud and AI, and he is passionate about exploring new and exciting things in this field. Gaurav completed his Bachelor's and Masters in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad. During his academic years, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Visual Information Technology, where he focused on developing a low-cost, easily deployable system for 3D human body shape and motion capture, under the guidance of Prof. P.J. Narayanan and Prof. Kiran Varanasi. At Microsoft, Gaurav has worked on various optimizations and implementation of features on the ADLS Blob/Gen2 REST API stack. He has also collaborated extensively with clients like Hadoop ABFS Driver, Data Bricks, and Azure Storage SDK. Gaurav's team has focused on providing a unified view of Azure Storage to customers, which led to the development of Multi-Protocol Access for Blob Storage. Gaurav's expertise includes Software Engineering, AI, Azure, Computer Vision, Research Scientist, Big Data, Machine Learning, and Hadoop.
