Gaurav Takiar is a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with a passion for analyzing raw data and statistics. With a total of 3.8 years of experience in the Data Science industry, Gaurav is an expert in building Machine Learning and Deep Learning models using technologies such as CNN, Neural Networks, Skilit learn, Tensorflow, and OpenCV. Currently working as a Data Science Consultant at Sibia, Gaurav specializes in Time Series Forecasting, both Univariate and Multivariate. He has previously worked as a Data Scientist at Argus System, where he led and solved business problems by dividing them into segmented pipelines. Gaurav has designed multiple classification models like logistic regression, SVM, Random Forest, XGBoost, Tree Classifier, and ANN. His work resulted in Random Forest giving the best accuracy followed by SVM, with the final output being Precision 93%, recall 95%, and F1 score 92.74%. Gaurav has also worked on an Automatic Door Opening and Attendance Management project by Image Classification and Object Detection. The primary goal of this project was to work with computer vision by using real-time face data so that only authentic and correct mask-wearers could enter. Gaurav used Pixel-level Semantic Segmentation to assign a label to each class in the image, resulting in an accuracy of 89%. He also worked on a specially designed mechanism to detect Fraud Claims from all OEM Tie-Ups of an Insurance Company. His solution involved Data Cleansing, Tokenizing, Optimized Prediction, and Predictive Analysis on the Risk Data and Policy Data, resulting in the problem being resolved with optimum accuracy and appreciation from the client. Gaurav has also worked as a Senior Claims Analyst at IFFCO Tokio General Insurance. His responsibilities included analyzing fraud claims by finding previous history, claims ratio, and average size to scrutinize and inspect the faulty workshops (OEM). He also conducted weekly analysis of claims of each surveyor and each major OEM tie-up to find the TAT, loss ratio, and status of claims so that ultimately loss could be minimized, and customer satisfaction could be improved. Gaurav has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Radharaman Institute of Technology & Science, Bhopal, and has attended Kendriya Vidyalaya for his school education.
