Gerasimos Gakis is a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for coding and technology. With over 11 years of relevant experience, he has worked as a Systems Engineer and currently works as a Frontend Software Engineer for a FinTech company. He is skilled in Vanilla JS, CSS3, Angular, databases, and backend technologies like NodeJS. Gerasimos is a self-taught learner and holds a Mobile Web Specialist certificate from Udacity. He gained valuable skills in self-discipline and the ability to teach himself new technologies in the fast-paced industry. As a software developer at Financial Cloud, he works on the frontend of the new CRM platform using Angular 5/6. He has an eye for design and creates a modern and responsive frontend with user-friendly UX/UI. He also uses his knowledge to make the platform a progressive web app using all the newest technologies. Gerasimos has worked with Extraordinary Managed Services Limited as a Systems Engineer, where he built and maintained Linux and Windows servers, maintained cloud infrastructure, administered SSL certificates and domains, and supported clients via telephone and email. He has also worked with Synhrono - Lifelong Learning Centre as a Technical Assistant, where he built and managed the network infrastructure, assisted and supported students and personnel with IT-related tasks, and maintained the e-learning platform. Gerasimos has a degree in Computer Engineering from the International Hellenic University. He has also completed courses in Responsive Web Design and Front End Development from Free Code Camp. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Frontend, Web, Mobile, AngularJS, infra, UI, Backend, and NodeJS. He is a hard-working individual who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
