Githin John is an engineer at MathWorks with a passion for robotics and a focus on path planning, localization, and hardware-software integration. He holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, where he developed a vision-based platform for localisation and mapping (SLAM) in indoor dynamic environments. He also has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Githin has 2 years of professional experience as a software developer at Altair Engineering, Bangalore, where he worked extensively with C++, TCL, and MATLAB. He also worked on platforms like Arduino, AVR for various robotics projects and Sanguinololu for a 3D printer project at his alma mater IIT Kharagpur. At Altair Engineering, he developed the Collision Detection browser GUI in HyperMesh using TCL and implemented enhancements in the Collision detection engine to reduce processing time when checking for Intersections and Penetrations in the mesh.
