Gitika Bansal is a software engineer with over 11 years of experience in software design, development, and integration. She possesses advanced knowledge of Java and related technologies and has a good understanding of Agile and Software Development Lifecycle. Gitika has a customer-oriented approach and is technically focused. She is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Springer Nature, where she worked on developing a single system called Oasis to streamline the Publication Rights and Payments process for various categories of journals that were previously using different legacy systems. At Springer Nature, Gitika has implemented Hexagonal (aka Ports and Adapters) architecture for microservices and developed microservices using Kotlin with event sourcing architectural patterns. She has also implemented persisted event stores and projections using PostgreSql DB and deployed microservices in cloud foundry with CI/CD pipelines using Concourse/Halfpipe. Gitika followed Domain Driven Design approach for development and Domain Driven Testing (DDT) for automated functional tests. In her previous roles, Gitika worked as a Manager at Citi, where she built a range of microservices using Spring boot interacting with MongoDB as a data store. She also built a client framework to consume data using the microservices and a caching framework capable of caching data (in Hazelcast cache) with the capability to refresh cached data dynamically on changes in data. Gitika worked on various Regulatory Reporting enhancement requirements for European and US markets and delivered MiFiD II regulation on new regulatory reporting architecture. She worked on a POC for using a third-party Droit framework for regulatory guidelines. Gitika also worked as an IT Analyst at TCS, where she designed and implemented an interfacing system as part of Master Data Management in NCDEX (National Commodities and Derivatives Exchange). She also implemented various enhancement requirements as part of Commodity Management System (Comtrack) in NCDEX and Clearing and Settlement system in NCDEX and supported user queries in production.
